Part II - Second Day of Employment

Conducted by Immediate Supervisor

(Not all pieces will be applicable for all staff)
For All Housing Team Members (CSW, HSW, Intake Worker, FLC, relief)


Tour of the building (provide map)

  • Fire exits and extinguishers
  • Offices

Introduction to all staff (provide organizational chart)

  • Set up interview meetings for a later date
    • with other members of the housing team
    • with co-case partner for FLC's
    • with employment counsellor for HSW, CSW, Intake Worker
    • with mental health counsellor, mentorship staff, financial/admin support staff
    • with Maintenance Co-ordinator (provide policy and procedures)

Security System

  • Security system

  • Environment (heating, breakers, water shut off, cooling, etc.)

Workspace Orientation

  • Including keys, files, information systems, petty cash (when relevant), TTC.

 

Part III - Within First Five Days of Employment
